LATAH COUNTY, Idaho — A Moscow woman is accusing law enforcement of bullying a man who killed himself over the weekend.

Andrew Cain, 19, committed suicide on Sunday.  His death came several days after the Latah County Sheriff’s Office posted a Facebook comment about Cain. The comment read:  “We have decided that Andrew Cain is no longer the Wanted Person of the Week… he is the Wanted Person of the Month of June. Congratulations!”

Latah County Sheriff Wayne Rausch responded Tuesday. He said the post was not appropriate. Rausch added that it has never been his policy to include editorializing in media releases pertaining to the location and apprehension of persons wanted. He said the situation has been resolved and that the post was removed from Facebook. The Sheriff also sent his condolences to Cain’s family.
