OKLAHOMA CITY — A woman accused of smashing up a southeast Oklahoma City Taco Bell can be seen standing next to a shattered door with a tire iron in her hand in body camera video released Thursday.
Just before 8 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to the restaurant, 2608 S Interstate 35 Service Road, after several 911 calls were placed about a woman, later identified as Zette Lea Madden, 52, smashing windows and threatening employees.
In the video, an officer can be seen walking to the front of the store and ordering Madden to come outside and to “drop the bar.”
Each time the officer commanded her to drop the bar, Madden replied “no.” After a final command to drop the weapon, Madden started complaining “I come in here and spend hundreds of dollars…” before she was shot with a Taser.
Police said she destroyed the store’s drive-thru menu, window, an entry door and a register. She also reportedly held the bar above her and threatened employees while demanding money.
She was arrested on complaints of robbery and destruction of property and was being held Thursday in the Oklahoma County jail in lieu of $22,000 bail.
