Calif. cop earns top local MADD award for 125 arrests
It was the third year in a row he has captured the top award
OROVILLE, Calif. — Chico police officer Travis Johnsen was honored at a luncheon Thursday for having the highest total of drunk driving arrests locally in the past year.
Johnsen arrested 125 allegedly impaired drivers, and it was the third year in a row he has captured the top award from Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
In total, 28 officers from departments in Butte and Glenn counties were honored for having a significant number of arrests, and removing dangerous drivers from the road.
